What does Scriba do?
Scriba records your meetings — system audio and microphone — transcribes them live, and lets you ask AI questions about what was said. Get summaries, action items, and follow-ups without anyone else in the room.
Where is my meeting data stored?
Meetings live on your Mac in a local database only you can access. In managed mode, audio is sent to AssemblyAI for transcription and the resulting text is returned to your device — no meeting content is stored on Scriba's servers. Enabling cloud sync mirrors your archive to your account for cross-device access.
Will other people see a recording bot?
No. Scriba captures audio from your Mac — no bot joins your Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams call, and nothing extra appears in the participant list.
What platforms does Scriba support?
Scriba runs on macOS 13 or later. It works with any conferencing app or in-person meetings via your microphone. There is no Windows, web, or mobile app.
What's included on the Free plan?
Unlimited recording, 1 hour of managed transcription per 30-day window, 50 managed AI messages and summaries, and 2 GB of cloud sync. Templates, contacts, projects, and full export are included — no credit card required.
How does pricing work?
Free, Pro ($29/mo), and Max ($99/mo) — all billed monthly through Stripe. Switch plans anytime; upgrades prorate automatically. When your monthly allowance runs out, Pro and Max can top up with one-time credit packs.
Do I need my own API keys?
No. Every plan includes managed transcription (AssemblyAI) and AI chat (Claude) — Scriba handles the infrastructure. Just download, sign in, and start recording.
