CaptureNo bot on the invite
Scriba reads your microphone and system audio directly from your Mac. Zoom, Meet, and Teams see the same participant list they always did — because nothing extra joined.
No bot joins the call
Scriba captures audio using CoreAudio on your Mac — not via a meeting integration. Conferencing apps never detect a recording participant, because Scriba isn't one.
Both sides of the conversation
System audio capture picks up what you hear through your speakers or headphones, alongside your own microphone. You get the full conversation, not just your side of it.
Ghost mode for sensitive meetings
On Pro and Max, ghost mode removes Scriba from screen shares, screen recordings, and the app switcher. Record without putting your tools on display when you're sharing your screen.
Capture — common questions
Does Scriba work for in-person meetings?
Yes. Scriba captures your Mac's microphone, so it works in any setting — a conference room, your desk, or a phone call on speaker. No video conferencing app is required.
What conferencing apps does Scriba support?
Any app running on your Mac. Scriba reads system audio, so it works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and others without any integration or plugin.
Does it record the other side of the call?
Yes. System audio capture picks up whatever comes through your speakers or headphones, so both sides of a call are included in the recording.
Do I need Screen Recording permission?
System audio capture requires the Screen Recording permission on macOS. Mic-only recording works with Microphone permission alone. Scriba walks you through granting both on first launch.
Can I run two recordings at once?
Yes. Scriba supports up to two concurrent recording sessions, which is useful for back-to-back calls.
