Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about plans, the Mac app, and how your meeting data is handled.

How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Open Scriba on your Mac, go to Settings → Billing, and choose Free, Pro, or Max. Upgrades take effect immediately and prorate through Stripe. Downgrades apply at the start of your next billing cycle.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Scriba is a per-account Mac app — there is no per-seat billing.

Can I get a refund if I cancel?

Email support@getscriba.app within 30 days of your first paid charge and we'll issue a full refund. After that window, you keep access through the end of your billing period with no further charges.

How does pricing work?

Free, Pro ($29/mo), and Max ($99/mo) are flat monthly plans. Switch anytime — upgrades prorate automatically. Pro and Max can buy one-time credit packs when monthly transcription or AI allowance runs out.

Do you offer annual billing?

Not yet. All plans bill monthly through Stripe. You can cancel anytime before the next renewal.

What happens when I hit my Free plan limits?

Recording always keeps working — the free limits only apply to managed transcription and AI. When your 30-day window runs out, transcription and AI pause until it resets. You can still browse, search, and export all your existing meetings in the meantime. Upgrade to Pro or Max anytime to get a larger monthly allowance.

Is there a team or enterprise plan?

Not at the moment. Scriba is licensed per Mac user — each person on your team needs their own account. If you're looking at volume licensing or custom billing, email support@getscriba.app and we'll discuss what makes sense.
